Chapter 113

Aurora:

I smiled when I opened my eyes to find Dante asleep.

His head lay on my stomach as his steady breathing told me that he was fast asleep.

I gently moved him to the side, making sure not to wake him, not that I would be able to at this point. He was too exhausted to open his eyes, and judging by the fact that I was his mate, his wolf wouldn’t be as anxious or worried about anyone hurting him.

I got up from bed and walked toward our son who was fast asleep. His heartbeat was calm, and smiling, I lifted him in my arms, careful not to stir Dante, knowing that he needed to rest. He was already in too much pain, and needless to say, everything that happened weighed down on him like a brick on his back; however, I knew that I would be standing strong by his side. I wasn’t going to leave him when he was at his weakest.

I hope Nicolas and Eva work out. They both seem to need that special someone. A mate bond would definitely ground them on their quest to take down Giovanni. Oh, did I mention how much I love Aurora!! <3
