Chapter 61

Aurora:

“Hey” I said, smiling at Dante who just entered my office.

It was around ten at night, but due to the number of emails that I still needed to tend to, I chose to stay a while longer.

Dante smiled, but I couldn’t help the frown that formed on my face when I noticed that his smile didn’t reach his eyes. His usual calm and genuine expression seemed harder than it usually was.

I got up from my chair and walked toward him, smiling when he opened his arms to pull me in for a hug. His arms tightened around me for a second before he pulled away to look me in the eye.

“You okay?” I asked, noticing that he wasn’t being his normal self. He shook his head, surprising me, and pulling him to the couch, the two of us sat down and I shook my head in question, waiting for what he had to say.

Dante wrapped his arm around me, pulling me to his chest as he ran his fingers over my hand before intertwining them, wrapping my arms around my own body as he hugged me. I stayed quiet, listening

Ahhh, our lovely Aurora is now upset. Do you think Dante would follow her? Or would he listen and give her the privacy she asked for?

she needs to get a thicker skin as it pertains to Dante questions to her. She automatically jumps to conclusions instead of listening. Nevertheless, Dante better follow her!

I , don't like that she runs off every time she is face with the truth. She's stronger then that I don't think she truly trusted Dante.
