"Grandma," her eyes immediately wateredShe ran towards her like a kid but Darren just stood beside the door and watched them from a distance. Hearing her voice, Wren opened her eyes and tilted her head. "Aereza," her eyes filled with happiness and content. She tried to get up but faced some difficulty because of her age. Aereza helped her in getting up and sitting on the bed. Darren silently witnessed everything and how close she was to her grandmother, even after knowing she was not related to her by her blood but maybe, some relations didn't even need that tag to turn deep and Aereza and her grandma's relation was one of them."Grandma…" Aereza hugged her grandmother tightly and closed her eyes."How are you?" Tears were dropping from her closed eyes as she asked her grandmother. Wrapping her arms around Aereza, Wren caressed her head."I am fine, Reza," she answered. Hearing that name from her mouth, Aereza teared up more. How badly she was missing to hear that name from her gra
The darkness of the night was ending with the soft and gentle rays of the sun as it was the time of dawn. The couple was laying on his bed while holding each other in their embraces. They both didn't let each other sleep almost the entire night because their bodies were busy telling each other how badly they had craved each other in those few days where they had to stay apart from each other and that pain of separation was so deep that one night was not enough to satiate it properly. They both were awake and were enjoying the beautiful dawn through the huge window of his chamber. Their bare legs were tangled under the cover, along with their naked bodies. Her head was placed over his chest. "It's beautiful, isn't it?" She asked, gazing at the beautiful and gleaming sun rising and illuminating the darkness of the sky. "It is but I have seen something more beautiful than this," he answered while caressing her head. His reply turned Aereza curious. "And you know what it is?" He asked
"Where are you taking me?" Aereza asked, confused and annoyed while holding his neck for support. She was still captured in his arms and he was taking her somewhere. It was still slightly dark as the sun had not properly risen up yet. "Darren…." Her annoyance doubled as he didn't answer and continued to ignore her. They both were stark naked and were roaming around the castle like this. What was wrong with this man?"Darren Venzor, I am talking to you, you deaf animal," she snapped at him. Darren rolled his eyes. His woman had really a very fearless and sharp tongue. She was daring to call an Alpha like this but then he remembered she had done much more than verbally cursing him.Her eyes widened when she noticed him rolling his eyes at her. She clutched his neck and pushed her face closer to him in his arms."Did you just dare to ignore me like this, Venzor?" She narrowed her eyes at him. He finally tilted his head to look at her."Yes, I did, so what?" He faked an innocent smile at
"Her name was Sirena," Aereza caught his entire facial expression to turn startled as soon as she told him that name. He looked completely shocked for a moment. Her brows wiggled in confusion."What happened?" She asked him, untidy. Darren didn't answer. Instead he got up from her and then stood up on his feet. He turned around and his behaviour confused her more. Aereza also got up on her feet. "Darren," she placed her palm over his shoulder and clutched it gently. "Is everything alright?" She questioned and in return found him sighing heavily. His tensed muscles finally relaxed and then he twirled around to face her. Darren caught that confusion and concern in her eyes after the sudden change in his behaviour. He sighed once again and then nodded at her, trying to make her believe that everything was fine but she had already sensed something wrong. "You are lying. I know something is troubling you," she said and stepped closer to him. Aereza grabbed both of his hands and held th
Aereza stepped inside Ellais's chamber. She wandered her eyes everywhere around her but all she could find was his attendees who were standing beside the bed with their head hung lower. She stepped inside with a fast pacing heart because Ellais's absence in his chamber tensed her up really badly."Where is Ell?" She asked those attendees in sheer desperation. They neither answered nor looked at her which made her more worried. Aereza roamed her gaze everywhere again but she couldn't find him."Where is he?" Her eyes had almost watered in fear when she heard the slow muffling meows of his kitten which made her turn around. She sensed that direction from where that noise had come. Aereza walked towards that direction which led her closer to a window which was closed with long curtains. She removed those curtains and her eyes widened when she found his Lily there but he was not there."Ell…." She twirled around and immediately felt two arms getting wrapped around her knees. She looked do
"Yes, her grandmother's healing process is going on and she is responding well to it," Rowan informed Darren. They both were present inside Darren's chamber. "I talked to the healer and she said her grandmother will recover soon," Darren nodded at Rowan after hearing him. "Good but make sure nobody knows about this, especially Aereza," he said because Aereza's grandmother's health condition had been pretty bad when Darren brought her here and Wren requested Darren not to tell about this to Aereza as she already had a lot of things troubling her and that was why, Darren was making sure that Wren was secretly receiving her treatment so she would recover as soon as possible and without Aereza's awareness.Rowan nodded in agreement."Yes, I have kept that in mind," Rowan answered, earning a nod from Darren. After that, he turned around and walked towards his window. "What about Alanso?" He asked Rowan while looking outside through his window."Our men are keeping their eyes on him all
Aereza was following Alanso while keeping her all senses alert because this man could not be trusted. She was aware of his wickedness and how immoral and selfish he was, so she needed to be alert with him. Alanso finally stopped and Aereza noticed that he had taken her to a chamber which she assumed was his. No one was around them and it made her feel a bit afraid because she was completely aware of how irrational his thoughts were for her because last time, she had witnessed his absurdness for her but she was doing all of this so that she could make him believe that everything was going as he wanted.Alanso finally turned around to face her and Aereza immediately caught that cunning grin ghosting on his face. His eyes shamelessly ogled her from her head to her toe which made Aereza clench her jaw."Something has changed in you, Aereza," he commented after scanning her entire body. "I mean, you have been pleasing to any pair of eyes from the beginning but right now, you have become
"Why the fuck you agreed to go with him all alone?" His seething voice roared, freezing Aereza at her place. She swallowed down the lump in her throat. "I am asking you something," he raised his voice while gripping her both arms in an aggressive hold. Aereza flinched as he yanked her on his chest. Her naked bosoms got slammed against his rigid torso. She looked at him a bit terrified. "Why did you go with that fucker?" With each passing second, he started turning more furious and angry. Aereza exhaled a heavy breath because she knew his blood was boiling, so she needed to deal with him in calmness. "Darren, I was just following our plan," she tried to make him understand but her words hardened his scowl. "If I would have refused to go with him then he might have turned suspicious about us," she uttered, calmly. "So what?" He immediately retorted back, while glaring at her. His hold tightened around her arms. "What the fuck would have happened if he had gotten to know about us?"
