Chapter 26

I was running my hands over his arms, trying to sooth him and find a way to calm him down.

"How the f*ck can they do that to somebody? A fixed marriage between Wolves shouldn't exist. We all have our mates!" Dylan kept saying.

"I know," I lamely said, not knowing what would make him feel better.

"Did he ever hurt you?" Dylan asked, his intense stare was concentrated on my eyes. I felt like looking down, and bowing to him. But I knew his intention wasn't to order me around. He wanted for me to tell him the truth.

I shook my head, not being able to answer with words.

"Did he- did he ever touch you?" Dylan asked, pausing in his sentence and looking down.

"He didn't," I replied, my voice sounding completely weak.

"He wants you. Nicolas has made it clear that he wants you back," Dylan said, his voice sounding emotionless.

"I know, but I don't want to go with him. I don't want to go with my pack. Please, don't let him take me," I said to Dylan, as I wrapped my arms around his neck tightly.
