Caleb turned around to see Emma standing there, looking at him with a mixture of shock and hurt. He could not if she overheard their conversation or if she was hurt because of their position, after all, it was dark and Eva was holding his hands.

Emma didn’t soften up to Caleb but she was not hard on him, they both left the office together and spotted Lincoln by the door with Elaine. Caleb knew the consequences of betraying the organization, it was worst than being a rogue wolf. He didn’t want to hurt Emma, so he had to choose which side to be on. The organization or his mate?
