Chapter 46

Emma left the palace with a hooded cloak that concealed her identity. She walked around the city, making sure she wasn't being followed or noticed.

After a while, she arrived at the house described by David, a modest but cozy home on the outskirts of the city.

She peered through the windows and saw a little girl sitting on the couch, watching TV with her a middle age woman, it must be her nanny. Emma took a deep breath and knocked on the door. The nanny opened it, looking surprised to see a stranger at the doorstep.

"Good evening, ma'am. I'm sorry to bother you, but I'm lost and I was wondering if you could help me," Emma said, using a sweet and gentle tone.

The woman looked at her suspiciously, but Emma's innocent demeanor seemed to disarm her.

"Sure, what do you need help with?" she asked.

"I'm trying to find my way to the market, but I seem to have lost my way.
