Emma was confused, she just wanted to get off work and go back home and she finally did that. She bought some groceries and went straight home, she unlocked her door and walked in.

Alex chuckled, a mixture of amusement and relief evident on his face. "You caught me. I couldn't resist slipping in a reference from your book. But in all seriousness, Emma, I appreciate your honesty."He took a moment to gather his thoughts before continuing. Eva picked up the first aid box that was kept on the kitchen counter before walking to the sitting room with it. Caleb sat on the chair staring at the wall, he was thinking of ways to win Emma back.
