She was at the only ice cream parlor in their town, with Dustin. It was a favorite hangout place for Brendon High School folks and many of them were chilling and having fun.
“Here take this.” Dustin brought their ice-creams and settled before her.
“Thanks.” She smiled while taking it and dug into her cup. A burst of helpless laughter escaped Dustin.
“Look at you Hazel!” he brought his hand and wiped her nose. The little action reminded her of Zeki but she quickly shrugged off the thought.
“You never told me about yourself.”
“What about me?” He asked taking a spoonful of ice cream in his mouth.
“About your love life. What’s the deal?”
He stopped for a moment gulping down the ice cream. He knew she would bring that up.
“No deal. It’s simple! The person I love is involved in someone else. End of story!”
