Chapter 9

Julisa's POV

After laying there for a while I move myself into a sitting position and drink some more water. A nurse brought in some food a few minutes ago and I decided I should eat to gain my strength. I am not going to stay here and wallow in my unfortunate luck. I am going to leave this pack before my birthday.

After deciding this I finished my food and water and lean back into the bed thinking of ways to escape. I perk my ears up when I hear someone in the hallway. It sounds like two people gossiping. I hold my breath and strain my ears to hear what they are saying. "I heard he killed his only sibling that's how cruel he is." Gasps "Alpha Hades is indeed a very cruel Alpha. I pity whoever his mate may be." Humming in response they walk too far away for me to hear anything more. At the mention of Alpha Hades my heart started to race and I felt this strange tugging.

I fall asleep thinking of ways to leave here. For the first time I don't dream of the day Alex left. Instead I dream
