Ava's Point Of View

"Kaden let him go!" I foolishly say to the Alpha. His red eyes observe me curiosly and I feel like dying right there and then. There was something in the way he gazed at me that made me completely and utterly vulnerable. It was like I was completely defenseless before him, completely out in the open. There was also a look of hurt in his eyes. Was the Primordial hybrid hurt by me?

Everywhere sits silent for a moment, it even seemed like the birds in the trees stopped singing, they were all probably sensing my impending death, just watching and waiting for it. Any moment from now I think they will get what they wish for, because I was going to die now for sure.

Kaden lets go of Kole's collar, dropping him on the ground hard, he groans. Kaden turns to me.

Shit! He was coming my way. I think this was the part where I should start running.

I should probably run, but I don't. I couldn't. I stay put as the Primordial continues to take predatory steps towards me.
