Chapter fifty one: revenge back

The proposal event was only the tip of the iceberg of drama for the day.

There was a meeting Kai had to attend. And for some twisted reason he wanted her to attend it with him.

"But...I'm not your assistant." Karen tried to protest. She didn't know what he was up to now, it was so hard to read him.

"You're coming with me and that's final." He said simply. "You have fifteen minutes to meet me in the conference hall on the seventh floor."

The seventh floor conference room was reserved for very confidential meetings and discussions. Karen had prior to this moment wondered what kind of discussions took place in that place. And today she was going to be part of it.

On a normal day she would have felt elated. But being forced to attend it didn't count. So she only felt nothing.

Fifteen minutes later she was in the conference hall.

It was then she understood what kind of meetings took place here. Everyone in attendance was one of their kind, a werewolf.
