Drake POV
Moving quickly behind Kate I grab her arm and spin her around. I pull her into another office and hug her tightly. She doesn’t hug me back. I know she’s trying to maintain her composure, but I can’t help gripping her arms. “Kate, change your mind; just go for the tap out. You don’t need to prove anything to anyone; you have already proven so much!” I beg her.
Stepping back, she looks at me sadly, “Of all the people Drake, I had hoped you had enough faith in me to win tonight. I will win and I will be Alpha of this Pack. I had hoped to see you after the ceremony, but it may be best if you head back to your Pack and your friend.”
