Killian: I frowned as I walked out of the bathroom, my chest aching as I shook my head, feeling my mate. Eleanor: I frowned as I opened my eyes to find myself curled up in a black duvet. The blanket that I had in my room, if I could call it that, was white. I sat up as the door opened, and my heart raced as I caught sight of the Alpha entering his bedroom. His eyes met mine and he studied my expression for a few seconds before taking his jacket off and rolling up his sleeves. It would be our break, all the maids tend to take them in rotation, I can ask mom to arrange ours to be at the same time and we can go.” She said and I smiled. Killian: I cleaned the cut that was on my fingers and shook my head as I recalled what happened. The fact that I found the man waiting for us was something that annoyed me. It only showed me that he wanted me to find him. The Bernardi were playing a dangerous game, and that was something that they all knew, but the consequence that would follow what they were doing was going to be lethal. And their assassin’s head being sent to them in a box, when they initially expected it to be mine, would be direct proof of it. However, for now, that was the last thing that I was concerned about. Eleanor: Alpha Killian hissed in pain and I frowned, removing the cloth from his hand for a second. “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to hurt you.” I said, and he shook his head as he looked me in the eye. “It’s just a sting,” he said, taking me off guard. I knew that I would have gotten a slap or two, even though it wouldn’t be my fault, back at the house for the simple sting of trying to help. The lesson of not helping when he was injured was one that I learned the hard way as I grew older. That is of course, unless I was ordered to help.
