A sweet chapter between the pair. I dropped a hint in the chapters about something a little deep. Also, for those asking when Eleanor would be feeling the bond, her wolf does feel it. Her purrs are prove of it, but it is her who doesn't understand what she is feeling. Keep in mind that she doesn't know what love is and might not even know what a real mating bond is. On another note, Alpha Dean has been published yesterday, who of you have checked it out, hehe? Don't forget to vote, comment, and leave a review. Until next time.
Eleanor: “So, now this place is yours?” I asked, growing curious about the story of the beautiful garden that I was in. “Yes,” Alpha Killian said, crossing his arms over his chest as he walked by my side. “She used to love coming here and was sure to have a print on everything that was in the garden. You can imagine that she was even monitoring the men as they built her stable. I didn’t blame her though, it was her thing and she aimed to make it perfect.” “But why not use or keep it open?” I asked before looking down at my feet as I feared his reaction. “I don’t mean to be harsh or rude with my question, but I am curious about your own perspective.” “I would have loved to, but a part of me believes that if the door stays closed, she would never leave.” Alpha Killian said, taking a deep breath. “And another part is refusing to believe that she was killed in front of me.” “I’m sorry,” I said and he pinched the bridge of his nose as he shook his head. A faint smile played on his lips
Killian: I watched as my mate took a step back, avoiding my eyes for a second as her heart raced. She didn’t even understand how much I wanted to know who dared hurt her the way that they did in the first place, but that was something that I was going to have to figure out with time. “I would like to be excused.” “Eleanor,” “Please, Alpha.” She said, stopping me. Tears formed in her eyes and I frowned as she turned around to leave. I frowned and wrapped my hand around her arm, stopping her. I slowly put my hand on her shoulder, gently massaging it before sliding her sleeve down a bit. The V-cut that was on the dress made it a lot easier for me to do so. “I am not going to hurt you, Eleanor.” I lowered my voice to above a whisper as I looked at her, letting her know that I did not intend to hurt her. She froze completely and I could tell that she was holding her breath as I looked at her back, my heart dropping to my stomach as I saw the whip bruise. Her heart raced against her
Eleanor: My chest ached as I watched Alpha Killian walk out of the room to leave me alone with my thoughts. The way he looked at me and the way he spoke broke me, especially since I knew that he didn’t understand my situation. And it didn’t make it feel any better that I couldn’t even explain it to him. The idea of doing so was too surreal for it to happen, and the consequences that were going to follow were going to be too great for me to handle. “You are not going to accept me when you find out who I am, Alpha Killian.” I said, voicing out my thoughts as I looked at myself in the mirror a while after he left the room. The fact that he saw the cut that was on my shoulder embarrassed me more than anything that could have happened to me, and the idea of him pitying me afterwards was not something that I wanted. I took a deep breath and walked out of the suite, wanting to get to work, as I didn’t want to dwell on such a topic. There was no changing the facts anyway; therefore, I wasn
Killian: “He is the bastard that killed Sergio.” Vladimir said, showing me the man who was dead at our club. “And he died how?” I asked and he shook his head. “He killed himself when he was caught. The man grew too drunk and exposed himself to Rena, the thing is, he didn’t realize that he did until she was trying to get out of the room. The woman ended up getting hurt and is being tended to right now, but just as she was about to report the situation, the man killed himself.” He explained and I nodded as I pinched the bridge of my nose. “The one thing that we know for sure is that the prick is still hiding his men like rats.” I said and he nodded. “He is just giving them orders every now and then to do his own dirty work.” “Or they can be looking for his bride?” He asked and I shook my head. I doubted that they would be looking for the woman here. To say the least, she would have been found if she truly was missing. The man was just putting on something stupid to have his men her
Eleanor: I had to fight back the smile that threatened to tear my lips apart as I walked out of the Alpha’s room. The way he spoke to me, and the way he looked at me made my chest swell. I entered my room and couldn’t help but admire his gentleness toward me. Back at the pack, my home, between those that were related to me and the man that I was to marry, I was nothing. I was the woman that they hid in a room, the woman that they only allowed outside to the garden Estate, being escorted. Most of the people who knew of my existence thought that I died a long time ago. Others didn’t even know that I was born to begin with. Even my mother was hidden from view for a long while before she was killed. And though her death remains a mystery to me, I knew that she fought with her life to see my smile. I took a deep breath as I recalled the first time that I was introduced to Elton. It was the first time that I was allowed to speak to a man. The men that were within the Estate wouldn’t a
Killian: “Good morning,” I said, smiling at Eleanor who entered my room with a mug of coffee. “Good morning,” she said, handing me the mug. I smiled and took a sip, noticing a slight difference in the coffee, before setting the mug on the dresser. “You added milk to it,” I stated and she nodded. “And also sprinkled a little chocolate as well.” She said, and I smiled. “It gives a home feeling. I know you prefer your coffee dark, but I have a belief that adding milk gives it a calmer and more comforting sensation.” I listened to her, smiling at the fact that she was growing a little confidence to actually say more than a word or two to me. “I can change it if you don’t like it.” I smiled and grabbed the mug before taking another sip. She smiled and bit her bottom lip as she looked at me. “I never said that I didn’t like it, I was just curious on how you managed to get past Liana.” “I didn’t, she never really saw me. I know that she would have my head if she does,” she said, and I
Eleanor: I watched as Alpha Killian walked out of the suite, his eyes as hard as stone, making shivers run down my spine for a second before I shook my head, dismissing the thoughts that popped in my head. The man seemed angrier than I have ever seen him before, and seeing as he wouldn’t even look at me, I couldn’t help but feel an ache in my chest as he walked past me. “What’s up with him?” Natasha asked, frowning in confusion and I shook my head, unsure of what might have happened. “I don’t really know. He was okay a while ago, but now he just seems off.” I said, shaking my head. Natasha nudged me with her shoulder before winking and I laughed, shaking my head at her, understanding her underline message. She bit her bottom lip and I wrapped my arm around her before pulling her toward the suite. We still had a lot of work to do, and whatever was on the Alpha’s mind did not concern me. To say the least, I knew not to cross limits that I wouldn’t afford messing around with if he ch
Killian: I smiled as I saw Eleanor walking out of her room, wearing a knee long flower dress, knowing that it was one that she got with Natasha. Her hair was left in its natural curls, and instead of having it raised in a bun, she had it loose over her back. Her eyes met mine and she blushed before looking down at her feet. The sandals that she wore only added to her gentle beauty. “You look beautiful,” I said, and her eyes widened as her heart raced. Her cheeks reddened even more, if that was even possible, and she looked away as to hide her blush. I chuckled and took her hand in mine, bringing it to my lips as I gently kissed her knuckle. “Shall we?” She nodded in response and I smiled before opening the door and watching as she took slow steps downstairs. The fact that I hurt her the last time didn’t slip my mind and that was not something that I wanted. If anything, I wanted this garden to come back to life again, and that was going to happen with her. My sister wasn’t goi
