Aramis had given up on his diligence at this point. He hadn’t spoken to Layla all these days. In fact, he had forbidden her from appearing before him.

“Get me the names of the prisoners that had escaped.” Aramis clenched his jaw and made up his mind to find them and kill them the instant they were brought back.
