Emma still was not at the lab when Eleanor returned to pick up her potion. She needed it to help the Queen and had planned to ask Emma for an extension on the assignment to make another one.

When Eleanor waited for a few minutes for Emma to arrive and she did not, she took out her potion and headed back to the Queen's room.

She gently nudged the door and strode into the big room.

Bettie dropped the book she had held over her face. "I did not expect you to be back so early."

"Yes, I know. But I could not stop thinking about your illness," Eleanor admitted, looking down at the bottle in her hands. "I have been working on something at the clinic that might help."

"Really? What is that?"

"A Hibiscus potion. It is not a remedy. It would only reduce any discomfort you feel." Eleanor braced her up on the bed and screwed open the bottle. "You only need to take a little. Then you would be fine."
