Chapter Thirty-two

Eleanor got to work the next day in a good mood, and it was as a result of what transpired the previous night between her and Drakken.

He had taken her back to his room after they went riding, and they slept together. She had been worried her nightmares were going to resurface again and startle him, but none of that happened. She felt at peace and had a good sleep for the first time in a long while.

It felt somewhat out of place that she would feel the most safe in Drakken’s arms. Then again, he was still her enemy even though he called her mate and mentioned their sharing a striking bond.

That must be the real cause of why she can't stop thinking about him.

It was quite selfish of her to bond with the enemy when he was the reason Mrs. Goldberg was locked up, and her son hidden away somewhere, but Eleanor’s heart felt lighter and happier that morning.
