Chapter 31 - Aurelia
This was the moment of truth. I’ve put it all out there by shifting in front of my parents and Alex like this. Alex’s shamrock eyes went wide with fear as he scrambled over the back of the sofa. His reaction hurt but was expected.
Mom let out a shrill scream before fainting in her chair. And dad... He was holding the left side of his chest with his eyes wide. Oh crap, I’m giving my dad a heart attack!
I whimpered and took a step closer to check on dad. But before my muzzle could even get near him, he sunk further into the chair. ‘Don’t blame them. This isn’t something that a human could accept’ Theia sighed, trying to console me.
I whimpered again and ran from the living room. My paws thundering against the ground as I went out the back door seeking refuge in one of the fields.
Given that I’m bigger than a natural wolf in my wolf form, I don’t blame our horses for being unsettled by my presence as I leaped over the fence.

I can’t believe I gave my dad a heart attack! ‘Alex said he was fine, but your mom insisted on an ambulance.’ Theia tried to sound encouraging. ‘Not helping.
