SOLUTION

Heat is when a female werewolf starts giving off a scent that tells she is ready… well ready to mate. Lucious had thought something was off about his mate’s scent earlier. That scent of fresh summer breeze with a touch of lilac always made him go crazy. But this time it was different. It was much more stronger and enticing, desirable even. Her scent had made his wolf restless and now he understood why.

His mate was in heat and she needed him. This was really bad.

From the little Lucious knew about heat, it mainly affected the female shifters. He had heard that the only thing that could take away the pain caused by the heat is a mate’s touch— his touch.

Frustrated, he groaned, running his hands through his hair. Lucious recently met his mate, so it was understandable he couldn’t have known what Haven was going through. In fact, he knew little about the perks of the mate bond. There wasn’t really a bond between him and his ex wife after all.
