As I sat in my office chair, my mind couldn't help but wander to thoughts of Eva. It had been too long since I last saw her, and the absence had left an ache in my heart. I leaned back, trying to shake off the feeling of frustration that had built up within me.

The woman on my lap continued to stroke my beard, but her touch had lost its appeal. All I could think about was Eva – her smile, her laughter, the way she made me feel alive. I missed her more than I could put into words but I was more pissed about her leaving suddenly. I felt my pride being trampled upon.
