Chapter 117

The Mage couldn't bear it as he watched Tonia groaning in pain.

He finally fell on his knees and held his face.

"This monster is no longer your daughter" Sophie helped him back on his feet and helped him out of the throne room.

They looked for the way to the hospice. The bewitched guards were on the way, they were too many to sneak past.

"We have to find another way" Sophie stopped the Mage after seeing the guards.

"What happened? They should be free by now after she has died" the Mage retorted.

"I don't think so. They are all over there, like they were ready to attack" she whispered.

"We need to tell them, at least. Maybe that is what will liberate them" the Mage walked straight to the guards.

"Stop! Stop!!" Sophie tried to stop him but she was not fast enough.

"Hello, all of you. Your so called goddess is dead. You do not have to carry out her command anymore" the Mage addressed them loudly.

Sophie stayed back. She waited to see what their reactions would be to what the Mage said.
