Alpha Nolan's mind was ticking like the clock. He was worried. It has been a while since Cassandra had gone. She should be back by now. He warned her not to embark on going to Alpha Nemesis' Manor but she insisted she would go and come back unscathed.A loud clanging of metal swept across the room. That should be Cassandra."Open, for her" he waved at one of the boy-soldiers standing close to him. The boy walked in another direction instead of climbing up the ladder."Where are you going?" Alpha Nolan asked impatiently."I want to check who is there" the boy quickly replied, still going to his intended destination."I told you to open the latch!" Alpha Nolan roared."Yes sir" the boy shook visibly and quickly climbed up the ladder. There were metallic sounds as he opened the latch. He climbed back down as Cassandra locked the latch giving off the usual heavy metallic sounds. She came down afterwards."Why are you here?" she asked in amazement."Where else should I be?" Alpha Nolan
Sophie was just waking up. She couldn't find Alpha Jones beside her on the bed. She quickly got up and headed to the throne room. She was sure he would be there. She pushed the door open with strength. She became the center of attention of the three men in the throne room: Alpha Jones, the Mage and Matt. The three of them suspended their conversation and kept staring at her as she approached them."Are you okay?" Alpha Jones asked her softly as she took her seat beside him."I'm good" she nodded"Matt was just telling us about what he found out" Alpha Jones neglected the others. "There is an Alpha that just took over Gilard's pack and he is suspicious. We think he might be working for Alpha Nolan" he explained to her."We can't just assume that" she blinked. She thought that might be a plot to divert their attention unnecessarily."He had visited two Alphas who had died after receiving him in their Manors" Matt said immediately like he was afraid."You mean, he went to kill those Alph
Alpha Jones could feel Matt eagerness to say something as they both sat down quietly waiting for Alpha Gilard to attend to them.Matt kept sighing, gaping around nervously. He would smile whenever Alpha Jones made eye contact with him to feign that he was relaxed.Alpha Jones remembered what Sophie told him. That he shouldn't trust Matt. He was not worried. Sophie was just being overprotective. He had noticed that since after their joining ceremony. The Mage had also absolved Matt to be pure in intention. Finally, Alpha Gilard walked into his living room. He hesitated as he saw Alpha Jones. He had become obviously nervous. That was enough to prove his innocence but Alpha Jones still want more prove."I didn't know you are the guest waiting for me" Alpha Gilard took his seat opposite them. He was shaking visibly."We are. I just want to discuss some unclear issues with you" Alpha Jones smiled broadly to make him feel better."I haven't done anything wrong" Alpha Gilard sighed in fear.
Sophie woke up suddenly. She had just had a dream. Alpha Jones was standing beside a pit of fire with his hands tied to the back. He was groaning as the heat of the fire was becoming unbearable for him. Someone rushed to push him into the pit. He managed to escape the push but that was when Sophie woke up.She didn't see what happened next. She wasn't sure if that was a good dream or bad one. But it was damn scary. She remembered immediately. She was in pain as the Mage had earlier told her before she slept off.She also remembered Alpha Jones insisting on going to Alpha Gilard's Manor with Matt. She got out of bed immediately and rushed into the hallway."Jones!" she screamed as she steered towards the throne room."Jones!!" she screamed again as she entered."You're awake!" the Mage said in surprise. His eyes were heavy with tears."Where is Jones?" she ignored his words."Are you alright?" the Mage reached for her arms slowly. "Hail the goddess" she sighed as he finally touched h
Alpha Nolan stared at his boys wickedly. He didn't like the way they were moving sluggishly around. He looked away from them to reduce his growing anger. They were small boys anyway. He had to condone them."Will you just get it down here?" he finally said angrily.Four of the boys struggled with a coffin with all their strength. They brought it to his front."Just get away" he nudged them away from the coffin after they had set it down. He flung the cover up.There was another one of the boys in the coffin. He looked dead but he wasn't or he wouldn't be anymore. The other boys steered away as they saw him. Alpha Nolan laughed at them."I have proclaimed you thrice, and now you shall rise. You will obey my every command, you will deliver what I demand" he chanted over him intensely. The boy rose up and stepped out of the coffin. He stood in his front with his eyes closed."What is your name?" Alpha Nolan set his ear close to his mouth."Scott. My name is Scott" he shivered all over w
Sophie looked up at the door as it was suddenly thrown opened. It seemed like someone had just kicked it."What in the moon goddess name is that?" the Mage was obviously alertedTwo guards held a man, dragging him into the throne room towards her."What is this?" she questioned as they approached her.The man struggled to get away from the guards but they didn't let him."Who is this?" the Mage looked at the man closely."Has your old age taken away your memory of me?" the man asked rudely. "I am Scott, your Alpha's childhood friend and the two of you will be punished for this" he said to the guards."That's what he keeps saying and no one here recognize him" one of the guards countered."Scott? I don't think I ever heard that name from Jones" Sophie murmured"You are the Luna, right?" Scott charged forward but the guards held him back. "Where is your husband?" he groaned."You look like Scott but you are not him" the Mage said doubtfully."The Mage in old age" Scott laughed weirdly a
The Mage knocked on the door reluctantly. He didn't know how Scott would receive him. As far as he could remember, he was a disrespectful boy. That was a long time ago, he might have outgrown it."Who is that?" Scott yelled from inside but his voice wasn't harsh. "I'm coming" his footsteps towards the door was clearly audible. The Mage pushed the door lightly but it was tightly locked."Easy, I'm coming" Scott said, it seemed he noticed the push. He finally opened the door. "Oh, the Mage" he smiled and walked back into the room. "Come in, old man" he said jokingly. The Mage heaved a sigh of relief. He wasn't expecting him to act so nicely."I'm sorry for how I treated you earlier. I am a little bit upset before you came in" the Mage spilled as he followed him in."You mean when I was dragged in?" Scott laughed. He moved to a side of the room and turned back to face the Mage."I'm sorry for that" the Mage apologized."Are you here to apologize?" Scott asked like he was surprised."Sort
Sophie couldn't hide her smile as she walked in.Alpha Jones was setting the table by himself. It was a party, set for four people. That would be Alpha Jones, Sophie, convalescent David and their new guest, Scott."You are very good at this" she commented as Alpha Jones was neatly arranging the table top."I do it a lot of time" he smiled back at her."Until we met" Sophie shook her head. This is the first time she would see him like this. "You really love him so much" she added."You mean Scott?" he asked."Yes. You have changed a bit since his arrival" she replied."You observe well. I just feel so happy seeing him change. Imagine someone running away just to avoid fighting for your people. He was very frightened back then. Just then he walked back in here ready to fight. I'm impressed" he sighed happily."Great. It is a surprise turnaround. One to be wary of" Sophie went to take her seat. She noticed Alpha Jones had paused and become mute. "What's wrong?" she asked eagerly."You me
