Chapter 96

Sophie rushed to hug Alpha Jones. She was terrified.

"Are you okay?" Alpha Jones asked calmly. He rubbed her head soothingly.

Sophie nodded. She buried her head in his chest.

There was a violent knock on the door. Both of them were startled

"Who is that?" Alpha Jones was the first to break out of his startling.

There was another round of hard knocks instead of a verbal response.

Alpha Jones headed to the door. He clearly wanted to go and open it without a proper thought.

"Wait!" Sophie pulled him back. "We don't know who is there, what if....." she panted.

"Whoever it is, standing out there. I will open the door" he insisted.

"Do you know their numbers? What if the whole guards have turned on us?" she was too scared.

"At least, I still need to open the door to get you to safety" Alpha Jones replied slowly. He took her hands off his body and went to the door. He opened it swiftly.
