Hayley spent almost twenty minutes with Kara and the governor, listening to stories of the human world and all he knew of their world. They were sipping wine while they talked and all Hayley could think of was a chance to get close to take his hand again for a clearer vision of his past.
Something about him did not feel right to Hayley. She just wondered what would have brought the governor and her sister so close to having him in on all their deepest secrets.
“You seem far from us, Hayley. Something on your mind?” the governor asked trying to change the subject. He noticed that Hayley had something different from the ordinary and wanted to explore it further.
“Oh no, sir,” Hayley replied with a sarcastic smile. “I was just admiring all your achievements. I wish I could do the same in my own time.”

Collen was excited to have Hayley around for a couple of days. They had a lot to talk about and Hayley had so much to share with him and his friends about the mainlands. Hayley got the special treatment. Raul’s service at the restaurant has availed him of the knowledge of service and entertaining guests. So he made Hayley comfortable, showing her around the city and even introducing her to Tom and Heather who received her with open arms. It was a weekend and Raul was off work this weekend so Tom had invited him and Hayley to the house for a little get-together. Raul went with Virgil and Kal as well; it was a full house because Ella was also present. Heather had prepared a beautiful setting for the meeting with tasty foods and expensive wine. Hayley loved wine. It was her craving since her arrival to the human world. Probably the only thing she loved about the human world aside from her sister and the lavish lifestyle she was exposed to.
