Modi touched Lucas on the shoulder and facing the crowd, he began. “This is Lucas, the prince of the night. Many of you may know him in person, he has been the protector of the Western aisles for centuries. He has held the territory together in peace. He has fought many wars and has protected other territories from harm.”
The crowd listened in silence, nodding in agreement as he spoke.
“I am sure that he will do the same for us while I am away.”
Lucas gazed at him calmly.
“I don’t know what will happen to me when I get there.” Modi continued ignoring his stare. “I may even be dead… but I know that I have placed you in good hands.”
