Jamari’s POVWaking from my slumber, I stretch slowly, working out muscles sore from Goddess knows what. Rolling to my side, I reach over to feel for my Kings, but find the bed empty beside me. Popping open an eye, I find myself in a bed that is not my own, in a room that is not mine in any of the Realms. Memories flood my system as I recall what happened just before passing out however long ago. Jerking up in bed, my gaze wanders around the same barren room that I was trapped in for four days, devoid of any sign of life. My hand reaches down and moves over my flat stomach, causing panic to rise up within me. It wasn’t a dream. I really did give birth to my child, but where is she? Flinging the blankets off of me, I move my legs to hang over the side of the bed. In my rush to get up, I trip over my own feet and fall hard on the floor with a loud thud. A cry of pain moves past my lips, filling the quiet around me as I try to pull myself up from the floor. My unsteady legs threaten t
Jamari’s POV“What happened after I passed out?” I ask Adam and Morgana. Pulling down on the oversized shirt, a shirt that I have no idea where it came from, I pull little Rose close to my breast in an attempt to feed her. One of the only things that I have learned about being a new mother is that sometimes breastfeeding doesn’t work out the way that we would hope. This wouldn’t be a bad thing if we were in one of the other Realms where there are alternatives to breast milk, but being trapped here in the dark forest doesn't leave me any other options. Rose nuzzles against my breast for a moment before opening her mouth wide and latching on to my hardened nipple as if she has been doing this all of her life. Which I guess technically she has seeing as she was only just born a little over an hour ago. My drifts away from the precious girl gulping down milk and back up to Adam and Morgana, who’s loving gazing is focused on the new Princess of the Demon Realm. Hopefully she gets her fa
Jamari’s POV The stranger stands there at the entrance of the hut, the sunlight shining in from outside bathing him in ethereal light. Morgana wasn’t wrong in her assessment of them looking like ninjas seen on tv. The only thing exposed on the man is his beautiful dark green eyes, reminding me of a forest and mesmerizing to look at. Our surroundings disappear around us as we both get lost staring at each other. His scent assaults my senses, an earthy smell mixed with the smell of coconuts. An unusual combination that is appealing in its uniqueness. The man is smaller than that of my three Kings, but still taller than my five foot ten inch frame, making him the perfect size. Such a weird thought to have about a man that I have just met. Though there is something familiar about this man. It almost feel like I have met him before, but surely I would remember if I came across a man that was completely covered by clothing. Unless of course my memories were messed with again, somethi
Jamari’s POVThe three of us slept through the night, only waking up when Rose woke up insisting on being changed and fed. Other than that it was the best sleep any of us have gotten in quite a while, and I found myself waking up more refreshed than any other time since being trapped here. Rieka was back by the second time Rose woke me to be changed and then fed, she couldn’t stop staring lovingly at our pup as she kept me awake with her constant ogling. It took me twenty minutes to convince her that we needed to close our eyes and sleep while she slept or else we’ll be tired when we wake. But even then, I woke up to find myself staring down at Rose, watching as her chest moved up and down while she slept. Rieka had grumbled about not being tired after sleeping all day and that I should tune her out if I wanted to sleep so badly. A conversation that amused Morgana tremendously.I filled Rieka in on Rin and the feelings that I felt for him and she agreed that it is possible that he i
Jamari’s POVWe stayed in the village for two days before we decided that it was best to keep moving in order to stay off of the Unseelie Queen’s radar. Judging by the things that I have heard about High Queen Mab, I am pretty sure that I do not want to come face to face with the woman just yet. No one has had anything good to say about the Unseelie Queen, especially Adam.At least not anyone that we have come across while in the dark forest, though that could be because most of the creatures out here are here because of a curse placed on them thanks to said Queen. But due to that, I really have no interest in meeting High Queen Mab or becoming one of her potential victims. The feeling of being watched has nagged at me since we left the village a couple of hours ago, making me wonder if Rin is out there somewhere keeping an eye on me. That thought is a comforting one, but Rieka doesn’t believe that he is the one following us and has warned to be cautious. And that brings us back to w
Morgana’s POVI keep my magic at the ready as I wander through the forest with Rose in search of food. Something I do not need to do since I can just magic some food up for us, but it would look suspicious if I was not looking for food after I announced that I was. We wander around aimlessly, making sure not to travel too far away from where I can sense Jamari and Adam. Rose looks at the world around us as we make our way through the forest. Even though she is only four days old, I have noticed that she has been progressing much faster than normal babies her age. Not that that is too surprising seeing as she accelerated her rate of growth exponentially while inside of Jamari’s womb. There is something special about our little Princess, and I am enjoying this time alone with her and Jamari. I know once we mate it back to the Vampire Realm and the rest of her mates, things will be different between us. I try not to let that bother me, I know we can not stay here in the Fae Realm inde
Ruth’s POV“Do we really need to be traipsing through this Gods awful forest in the middle of the night Andrew?” I ask, swatting at yet another bug that dared to land on me in the hopes of getting dinner. Andrew chuckles at my discomfort, earning himself a glare and celibacy for the remainder of this trip as well. “Come on Ruthy.” He says, wrapping his arms around my waist from behind and pulling me in towards his groan. “Where is your sense of adventure?” He teases, nipping at the spot where his mark rests along my collar.“I left it back in the Demon Realm.” I tell him, shoving away from him and stomping my way through the dark forest ahead of him. The sound of his laughter follows along behind me as he quickly catches up to me, grabbing my head and bringing it up to his lips. Giving my hand a gentle pull, he forces me to stop my stomping and turn to face him. A scowl covers my face, my irritation with this trip becoming too much to hold inside of me any longer. “If we don’t find
Ruth’s POV Andrew stands up from his crouched position, putting his hands up in surrender. The man holding a knife at my throat nods his head towards the camp, indicating for Andrew to walk into it. Andrew’s eyes meet mine before he turns and begins walking into the bloodbath that was once the Rocky Mountain Pack. The man behind me shoves me from behind, sending the blade into my throat, causing a line of blood to form along my throat. A hiss leaves my lips as my anger grows inside of me, my Demon begging to be released to teach these filthy humans a lesson. ‘How did humans overpower an entire pack of werewolves?’ I ask Andrew through our mind link, my eyes focused on the ground beneath me so I don’t trip and accidentally impale myself with the large knife at my throat. Silence passes between us as we make our way over to the bonfire raging despite our appearance on the scene. Just when I thought Andrew wasn’t going to respond to me, his angry voice floats through my mind. ‘I wo
