Chapter 42
Reid's POV
I gently laid us down as I held him in my arms while I was still inside of him. He stirred a little and moaned as I adjusted us. The movement probably cause some discomfort with my knot still inside of him.
I found a comfortable position for us as I laid us on our side with my mate wrapped around me.
I gently place my arm under his head and held him close. I brushed the hair out of his face and gently stroked his cheek as I stared into the beautiful face of Julian.
The events of everything that just happened we're running through my head. The moment I felt our mate bond snap into place. His emotions and feelings pouring into me at once.
I felt how happy he was and how much he loved me. But I also felt how betrayed he felt by his vampire side. That broke my heart.
I'm so angry with myself that I allowed that to happen. I should have known better, I should have been able to fight it. I should have saw what was happening.

Reid's POV Last week I realized not only was his vampire side basically a newborn but so was his wolf side. He had literally never shifted since his first shift. He thought he lost his wolf the same day he got him. It was one of the worst experiences of his life he said. For a normal werewolf, the first shift normally last approximately 20 minutes. Reid's POV I was so surprised to see how angry Uncle Noah was. He was furious. He was the first one to walk the area where we found Julian, trying to get a scent. There were several scents near the tree so he was unable to pinpoint a specific one. He went through an interrogate everyone there that night. My scouts were out all evening searching for whoever did this. I myself along with my best trackers went to the area where I found Julian. Unfortunately for myself and the trackers we ran into the same problem Noah did. There are just too many scents to narrow down one. Reid's POVWe have a week before the twins 17th birthday. They have done excellent with all the training they've been doing. They're pretty darn close to mastering their abilities. I think they've been ready but my parents still insist that we wait until their birthday.
