Chapter 8: Memories

I stood by and watched the doctor's every move. I want to make sure he won't hurt my mate.

At dusk, the sky outside was dark. It's been six hours, and Erza still hasn't woken up, and I frantically paced back and forth, looking at her lifeless face.

As I became increasingly impatient, I glared at the doctor, making him shiver. With Evelyn's reminder, I knew I was unintentionally putting pressure on the doctor, so I voluntarily went out.

At the door, I ran into Max. Rarely do I see another glint of emotion in his eyes. There was something doubtful and hesitating as if he wanted to say something.

Finally, Max still couldn't help but tell me. "Alpha, she's not fit to be Luna. She doesn't have a wolf and will be strongly opposed by everyone."

"Now I can't even find my mate? I need to consult others about choosing Luna?" I narrow my eyes to reveal a dangerous look, to prove that I am willing to fight to protect my mate.

"But Alpha, she's..." Max stepped forward, trying to make it clea
