I find myself chuckling after the words came out of his mouth.

He wants me to make Rylan sin.

"Rylan murdered people," I tell Fate, although he doesn't look convinced. "I heard it myself. Everyone in this Pack is terrified of him."

"He never killed those people with his own hands, Dawn," he said tenderly, as if it would rip me open to hear him say that. In actual fact, I found myself beyond confused. I know what I heard, and it was terror. "He's an Alpha. He gets people to do his dirty work for him."
