Ariadne frowns, wishing she could leave now, afraid and mesmerized by her long-lost brother. "Do you really not remember any of it, your plans, the whole year?"

Edward nods. "I really don't. I can't even fathom a world where I don't love him. It doesn't make sense."

"I feel the same," Ariadne manages.

"The craziest thing is," Edward sighs. "I think this was my plan."

"What?"

"I think I wanted to get shot so that you guys would come back for us, and we could take out Gordon together," he answers.

"Y-You could've just asked," Ariadne whispers.

Edward shakes his head. "I don't know. I'm still trying to make sense of everything, Aria. Do you ever think he'll forgive me?"

Ariadne's at a loss for words, not sure what to say besides, "You should get to bed. You promised him."

Edward stands a heavy weight on his shoulders, the burden unseen. "Good night, sister."

"Good night, Ed," Ariadne whispers at his receding back.
