Skipping down the stairs, she grinned as she found all the cameras hidden away switched off.
"Well done Ben." She chuckled lowly and she knew that her friend had heard her.
"That was some show right there," Jordan said as they joined her, Kade counting the bills.
"Something you can never do." Benjamin teased the tomboy and commented. "I can't believe he has cameras installed inside the rooms."
"Gimme my share and I am out!" Noelle whistled as the group of rogues walked into the forest. The nap she earlier wanted was calling out to her again and she also wanted to get away from her friends before their scent rubbed off on her and their enemies too started tracking her.
"We have seven thousand dollars and six of us," Kade said as he finished counting.
"Give me a thousand and you guys take a thousand two hundred each." Noelle shrugged.
"I think you deserve more of the share," Ashton said, a sweet smile on his face. Despite the fact that Noelle was always pranking and targeting him, he loved the little firecracker who could do anything she set her mind to.
Noelle rolled her eyes. "I don't have rent and bills to pay. And I can get free food from anywhere."
Kade forwarded the money as he knew her best and knew she wasn't taking a cent more than the said amount.
"At least have dinner with us?" Jordan pleaded. The she-wolf missed the only female friend she had. She knew she couldn't talk to Noelle about her love life or other 'girl' things but having a female friend helped. Just her presence helped.
Noelle pursed her lips. She wanted to say no because she wanted to be alone but the idea of free food was just too irresistible.
Before she could reply, she turned on her feet, her eyes narrowed at the foreign scent that had invaded her senses.
"You are leaving?" Benjamin sounded disheartened.
Noelle turned around, keeping her index finger over her lips to gesture to them to stay quiet.
Soon their ears picked up the breaking of twigs, rustling of leaves, and a pair of heavy footsteps.
But Noelle's senses were on overdrive by the intoxicating scent of mint and earth. And she couldn't pick up on the sound because her wolf was purring like a cat inside her head.
"Pack wolves," Ashton noted. "High ranking."
"We will be the baits," Samuel said as he put Noelle in a headlock while Jordan snatched the money from her hands. Ashton, Kade, and Benjamin climbed up the trees and hid out of sight while Jordan started acting. "The bitch got a lot of money!"
"Take everything you can!" Samuel played along.
Footsteps quickened and as soon as the scent got stronger, Noelle struggled against his hold, feeling a need to find the source of that heavenly scent.
"Stop struggling, you bitch!"
And then two men rushed into the clearing and stopped.
Noelle's eyes caught the taller one, her sky blues entranced by the chocolate brown orbs. She stopped struggling.
"Mate." Her wolf purred.
Time froze for her and she thought it had froze for him as well. But as the three rogues launched themselves at the two wolves, he blocked their advances and threw them yards away with no visible effort before setting his eyes back on her.
"Get your hands off of her." He growled, power emanating from each of his words. Butterflies fluttered in her stomach.
Her mate was an alpha.
Samuel stood there not knowing what to do while Jordan had dropped the act and ran to her now injured mate.
"He's my mate," Noelle whispered and the rogue holding on to her let go, even fixing her hair in the process.
The alpha took in her scent and his eyes turned a shade darker to almost pitch black as he realized that even though she wasn't one of the other rogues in the plot, she still was one.
His mate was a rogue.
Ezekiel growled at the rogue near his mate, warning him to keep his distance from her.
He scanned his mate from head to toe. She was wearing a red dress which showed more cleavage than he approved of and her muscles were tense, she saw him as a threat though she acknowledged him to be her mate.
"Come here, mate." He said lowly, though it was an alpha's command, a command rogues were immune to.
"I am not coming anywhere near you." She spat out, angering him.
"You will do as I say." He growled.
She rolled her eyes as she turned on her heels, picked up her share of the money, and then walked over to where she had hidden her bag and then over to behind a tree.
Ezekiel growled, his wolf angered by the lack of respect.
His sharp hearing told him that she was changing and so he kept his eyes on all the other six wolves around, all watching him quietly. If anyone even dared to glance in the direction she went, he would claw their eyes out.
His mate emerged from behind the tree, now in a worn-out grey hoodie and a pair of ripped shorts, again showing more skin than he liked.
"So long suckers!" She grinned and with the speed of light, was on top of a tree branch.
Ezekiel exhaled a deep breath of exasperation as he joined her, much to her surprise.
She hadn't come across a wolf as skilled as her in surfing through trees before.
Then again, she had only come across a handful of wolves because she preferred to stay far far away from them.
Her lips curled into a manic grin, her sky blues flashing a glassy grey.
Ezekiel was surprised. Rogues were supposed to have red eyes. Or at least that's what he remembered of the rogues that he had fought in his ten years as alpha.
But his wolf wasted no time as he showed himself, the chocolate brown orbs turning pitch black.
The mates felt a tinkling sensation all through their skin, their scent intoxicating each other.
Noelle snapped out of it first, angered as she hopped through the branches, convinced that her mate was an illusionist, a rare breed of the were-kind.
Ezekiel was right behind her, dodging the branches she launched at him and moving in on her.
He took a giant leap and grabbed her, falling through the air. He flipped them so that she was now on top of him, him taking all the impact of the fall.
The sparks were more pronounced now that they were in each other's embrace, almost feeling like an electric shock.
"Stop that!" Noelle bared her canines as her wolf purred. She knocked the breath out of her mate as she put her hands on his chest and pushed herself up.
Ezekiel growled as he snaked his arms around her, pulling her back to himself as he jumped back to his feet, feeling the slight cramping on his back as the wolf healing did its work.
"Let go!" She growled as her heartbeat picked up pace again, the sparks becoming unbearable and her wolf purring uncontrollably.
"No." He gave his own growl and he held on to her, walking back to where they came from, her face to his chest.
"Oh goddess, I can't believe you found her!" His gamma, Hunter King, approached him. He realized the scents of the other five rogues were fading.
"Where are they?" He growled.
"This is No Man's Land. We can't attack them without a reason here." He explained.
"How about trying to rob my mate?" He asked, glaring at his friend. "Seems like a good enough reason."
"The only problem is they weren't robbing me and are my friends." Noelle looked up at her mate and his breath hitched in his throat.
Her face was awfully close to his face and her lips awfully alluring.
"Stop doing that!!" She growled as she wriggled against his hold, bothered by the sparks and butterflies.
Her movements stopped and her head snapped to the gamma when he started laughing, her eyes narrowed at her next potential victim.
"Sorry Luna, it's ju-" Hunter started but was quickly cut off.
"I am not your Luna," Noelle said flatly earning another low growl from her mate. She eyed him and said firmly, "Let me go, Alpha. You cannot capture a rogue in No Man's Land."
Ezekiel rolled his eyes as he snatched her bag from her before pinning her clawing hands behind her and holding her off the ground with his other arm around her waist.
"Go start the car." He ordered his gamma and tossed him her backpack.
"Yes boss!"

~ Oh well, I don't think Noelle and Ezekiel had the best of meet-cutes. But hey, they are mates and they will probably work it out. Probably. ~ If you like this book, please please please rate it and leave a comment for me. It would be really really helpful. Thanks for the love. Keep reading and ENJOY!
_______________________ . . . "Go start the car," Ezekiel ordered his gamma and tossed him her backpack. "Yes, boss!" Hunter shook his head, amusedly and walked ahead. Ezekiel looked down at his beautiful little mate. "You will obey me." It was a statement. A statement Noelle found amusing. "You wish." She grinned. Ezekiel carried her to the car. Hunter got out and opened the back door for them. "Hey wanna see a trick?" Noelle asked. Ezekiel looked at her weirdly. She quickly brought her legs up, kicking him in the knees. The impact had him tumbling backward and she took the moment to lunge backward and grab the door, flipping onto the top of the car. Hunter moved forward to catch her but was stopped by the warning growl from his alpha. "Mine!" His wolf growled through the mind link. Hunter internally rolled his eyes. Alpha males were the 'jealous beyond belief' kind of werewolves. Ezekiel jumped to his feet, scowling at his mate. "What's your name?" Noelle asked, si
____________________________ . . . "Well well well, if this isn't a castle!" Noelle stretched out her arms and legs as she yawned. "Welcome to Blood Moon pack house," Hunter said, pointing at the three-story stone building that looked like the school from Wild Child. "Now show me my room." Noelle smiled. "I am hoping Challenging the Luna Ceremony is tomorrow." "No actually," Ezekiel said. "The elders are away. We can't present you as the Luna before they return." "Bummer," Noelle muttered as she put her backpack around her arms. Though inside she was dancing. Royal treatment until the drama happens. "Zeke, Hunter!" The three wolves turned around to the source of the voice and found two she-wolves hurrying towards them. Their face hardened at the scent of a rogue and they showed their wolves. Ezekiel let out a low growl as his wolf showed himself, warning them to stay away from his mate. Noelle was least bothered. Two overconfident she-wolves were pieces of cake to her. "W
________________________ . . . The scent of chocolate mixed with cherry hit his nose. He was unsure where she had got the cherry scent from but the chocolate one was stronger than ever. And it made his stomach do somersaults. He grew up hearing about the great bond between the soulmates that the Moon Goddess herself had forged and how powerful it was. But to feel it firsthand was something else. It was a blessing only the were-kinds were given. But to him, it almost seemed like a burden. What exactly was Her Highness thinking when she paired the both of them up? The four wolves looked towards the entrance of the dining room. Noelle walked in in a black sports bra and matching shorts with her hair up in space buns. Ezekiel growled, making Hunter look away immediately. "What are you wearing?" He growled and redirected his glare to Anna, who yelped at the mere look on his face. "I...I got her... a dress." She stuttered out. "A full-sleeve dress in the middle of summer? That too fo
______________________________ . . . The sun was too bright, the birds too loud, the weather too hot – Goddess, she hated Blood Moon territory already. Noelle was really starting to regret jumping at the thought of luxury. 'Ugh, someone shoot that sparrow down!' Her wolf whined. Noelle and her wolf only ever agreed upon two things – they hated their sleep disturbed and they hated unnecessary socialization. Noelle wondered why her wolf even wanted to be Luna when the position meant having to socialize with all the pack members and other officials when the situation called for it. 'Noelle, I am not in the mood for deep, life-changing thoughts.' Her wolf whined. 'Caffeine please. And maybe a whiff of our mate.' Noelle huffed. Her wolf had lost her brain cells after their mate came into the picture, though she did agree with her about coffee. She needed it desperately. Noelle couldn't sleep so well because well, the softness of a bed was not something the she-wolf was used to anymo
__________________________ . . . Noelle shrugged. "Never heard of them." "I thought you said the 'Royalty' could be it." Noelle paused, her lips touching the mug. That was so freaking stealthy that she didn't even feel her mate's presence until he spoke. 'Would have, if you had not ignored me.' Noelle rolled her eyes when she realized her wolf had already gone heart-eyed, having smelled and felt his presence. "Except they are legendary and no one knows if they really do exist or not." She shrugged. She had made a fatal error by taking the Royalties's name out casually. They were the supreme group and one of their laws was to kill off any rogue who revealed it to packs. She really was dead meat. "So how do we find out whether they exist or not?" Sebastian asked. Noelle liked Sebastian. While Livian was uptight and brooding, Sebastian was more laid back. It was a good equation. All three pairs of eyes were on her. She could also smell the stench of rotting flesh making its way
______________________ . . . Driving like a madman and running multiple red lights, they reached pack territory, where Ezekiel killed the engine to be able to surprise the rogues. He turned to his mate; his eyes pitch black. "Stay here." He said. "And don't you dare try running!" He was in full-on Alpha mode, and Noelle could almost feel his authority weighing down on her. With those words, the Alpha jumped down to the ground and broke out in a jog, leaping and transforming mid leap into a huge grey wolf. He didn't look back at his mate as he zoomed away, concentrating all his senses to where the number of rogues was the maximum. Noelle sat there, watching. Her eyes and mouth were wide. And for once, she was amazed by her mate. She had thought Alpha Ian's wolf was large. But he was nothing compared to her own mate. The lone wolf wanted to sit in the safety of the jeep and leave the saving the day to her mate and his army of pack warriors, but her irritating little wolf was clawi
_____________________ . . . They were too easy to kill. They were a decoy. 'Fuck it!' Noelle screeched in her head. 'Alright girlie, olfactory senses in ultra-mode.' "I am not 'girlie'." The wolf barked but did as was told. "I can smell them everywhere." 'If I sent a decoy to the east border, where exactly would I really want to be?' "The west?" The wolf said and then exclaimed. "The pack house!" . Noelle turned to her mate to find him engaged on a rogue with another warrior. She howled at him for attention. He quickly turned around, sensing what she felt, and signaled the warrior to take over. Noelle didn't wait as she ran in the direction of the pack house and Ezekiel followed, both of them realizing the rogues had become more alert. "Take them down!" Ezekiel barked into the pack link. "Leave just one alive to be interrogated." They ran for a good ten minutes before they reached the entrance to the pack house. Ezekiel shifted and charged inside while Noelle stopped.
____________________________ . . . "Or she could be in on it." All eyes turned to Anna, who looked like she had enough of the praises showered at the Luna. They were in the streets, fixing stuff as they talked in the mind link. They could not risk being heard because the trackers weren't sure if they had missed any of the cameras or bugs. "The way that she saved everyone, figured this out and stayed. I doubt." One of the warriors said into the mind link. "But now that the spy cameras have been found out, the rogues behind it must know that we have been alerted." She reasoned. "Not if our acting was good enough," Sebastian said. "We pretended to not see them and acted as if we were checking if all the papers were there. They were using scent-hiders and only two of the most trained trackers could smell it out. We exchanged genuine information through the mind link and talked bullshit out loud." The plan was fool-proof. Blood Moon had the best trackers. If it was some other pack,
