CHAPTER 57. PREGNANT

ATHENA'S POV

As my eyes fluttered open, the dim glow of an unfamiliar room gradually revealed itself. The dull ache pulsating through my head echoed with each throb of my heartbeat. Confusion wrapped around my thoughts like a heavy fog, making it impossible to grasp onto any coherent memory. The air in the room felt stagnant, and a peculiar stillness surrounded me.

Attempting to sit up, a wave of exhaustion crashed over me, chaining me to the bed. I winced, my temples throbbing in protest. The room seemed to tilt slightly, and my attempt at recalling events only deepened the void in my memory. What had transpired? Why was I here?

A disoriented gaze scanned the room, absorbing the muted hues of dim light filtering through heavy curtains. Shadows danced eerily on the walls, creating a surreal atmosphere. I couldn't shake the unsettling feeling that I had slipped into a realm of uncertainty.
