#Chapter 22 (Deonna) His bloodline

There had to be a catch. There was no way Marlon Roessler wanted to keep me alive just because I was pregnant with his child. This child would come out of me dark-furred and a disgrace to the kingdom. They would be abused and neglected, not to mention enslaved and later slaughtered by light-furred wolves.

The thought was sickening. The thought of losing my child in the most erupting and traumatizing way. I’ve lost a lot of people in my life, and I watched a lot of wolves die in my presence, but none of them were my own children. I couldn’t imagine what it would be like to lose a child.
