39| Gone for a while

Baski jerked up in fright, and rushed out of the door when Bella informed her about Lilith. They young child was carrying a child in her stomach and it really worried Baski if she might have hurt herself.

The door to Lilith's room was forcefully pushed opened, and Baski walked in with Bella whose eyes had been soaked with tears.

"Child, Lilith wake up." Baski called, but no matter how hard she tapped on Lilith's arm, she wasn't moving or blinking her eyes.

Baski's hands went to her nostrils, and it finally dawned on her that Lilith was close to death, and her breathing nearly at a halt.

"What happened? What did she take?" Baski asked.

She raised Lilith's neck to look at the green marks on her neck, spreading towards her jawline.

Baski touched it, as she wanted to feel what kind of diseases it was. "She has been poisoned, hurry call someone that would lift her from her." Baski said.

Without thinking straight, Bella ran out as fast as she could to go do as Baski had instructed.
