Baski dropped the tray containing Lucien's food on the table and turned to leave. She didn't utter a word or lift her head to stare at him. It was just to drop his food and leave the room.

"What is bothering you?" Lucien spoke, watching as she had turned to exit his room. He found her recent attitude to be quiet strange today and her dull eyes meant something was definitely wrong.

Baski was trying, really trying her best not to cause a war Lucien and the Alfanso pack, but now her daughter's life was going to be at risk. Who else would have taken Bella if not Elsa. She needed no sooth Sayer to tell that to her.

"Nothing." Baski replied.

Lucien nodded and then his head went back to his food. He knew Baski too well and he knew that she would spill it out soon, especially when it would be something only him might be able to solve.

When Baski turned to exit the door again, he counted her steps, waiting for her to return back and like he had guessed, she halted and faced him.
