MILA

It was evident to Mila that Arthur was not happy with this development, but she didn’t care. His safety was her priority.

“Release me,” Arthur insisted.

“Over my dead body,” Mila narrowed her eyes as she stared back at him angrily.

Arthur’s anger rose at her words.

“Are you bloody insane?” Arthur shouted. “There is a monster here, and you want to play the hero!”

“I don’t ‘play’ hero, I am a hero,” Mila rolled her eyes and smirked. “Shall we?”

“No, Mila,” Arthur tried to grab her hand, but as usual failed to do so.

“You know I can make you unconscious by uttering just one word,” Mila spoke simply, but there was a threat her voice.

“This is unfair,” Arthur spoke helplessly. “I don’t think we can survive like this!”

“Of course we can survive this. This is just one monster,” Mila looked confused. Since when Arthur was worried about a fight!

“Survive as in us, you and me, us, together,” Arthur explained.

It took a moment for Mila to understood what he meant.
