“I only spared your husband’s life because my clients need a werewolf’s heart,” the hunter bent towards me and whispered. “The next time you both would try anything funny with me, I won’t hesitate to kill you and him.”

I grunted and spat on his face. He wiped my spit off his face and with the same hand, he slapped me across the face.

“Arghh!” I cried out. The hunter grunted and retreated into the room he had been in.

“Wake up, Killian!!” I screamed.

Why am I bothering myself? He’s clearly unconscious, I got slapped across the face for his sake. I’ll return my slap by scolding him tomorrow morning, I thought.

The rays of the sun reflecting through the window shone on me. I woke up and gasped for air, as if I had just woken up from a nightmare.

I was still chained up on the old wooden chair, and Killian was still unconscious.

“How could someone sleep so much?” I said disgustedly. “Wake up, Killian!”
