Chapter 25
Jarek
Gently, I run my fingers across Gianna's cheek to wake her up. Some time ago, she fell asleep while leaning against me. At first, I thought she was just pretending to be asleep, but then her deep calm breaths made it evident that she was indeed sleeping.
"Gianna, wake up." I softly whisper, feeling bad for ruining her sleep. "It is getting late, and we can't stay here for long because it is not safe."
I have many enemies, and with Gianna with me, I have to be very careful. I can't make the mistake of taking her safety lightly. I have spent many nights here in this place without informing anyone because I am not afraid of being attacked.
But I can't put Gianna's life at risk. So, even though I am not ready to end this date night yet, we have to return to the club.

Jarek My eyes roam around the lounge when I don't feel Gianna's presence. A frown appears on my face because she is not there. I saw her talking with Diana and helping her with the breakfast buffet. But now, I don't sense her here. Expanding my senses, I try to feel her presence, but my wolf becomes restless when we realize she is not on the clubhouse's ground. Where did she go? Suddenly, I lose my interest in whatever Stella is talking to me about, as all my focus shifts to Gianna. "Hey, Jay, are you listening to me?" Stella places her hand on my clenched fist, only for me to pull back my hand. My wolf becomes agitated, and so do I. "What's wrong? Are you okay?" She softly asks, sounding worried and scared. Of course, she would have sensed the change in my mood and knew that my wolf was triggered. My eyes move to the scar on her face, and guilt swarms my heart.
