Third person POV

Davina and Racheal went to the mall to shop, and as they browsed through the aisles, Davina asked Racheal a question that had been on her mind for quite some time.

"Have you asked your mother about the DNA test?" Davina asked, pulling out a dress from a rack.

Racheal hesitated for a moment before answering. "No, I haven't. I thought it would be better if you just asked your father for the truth."

Davina scoffed, "Are you kidding me, Racheal? I can't just ask my father if he lied about my birth mother? He will be devastated."

"But you expect me to do it?" Racheal countered, feeling her own frustration build.

"Well, no, I don't expect you to do it, but you're not even trying. This is important to me, Racheal," Davina said, throwing the dress back on the rack.

"It's important to me too, Davina. But I don't want to upset my mother," Racheal said, exasperated.

"Well, I don't want to upset my father," Davina shot back, her voice rising.
