I moved away from her. She stopped eating, then picked up the torch. She shined it on my face, it also fell from her hand. What is happening here? This is just too much for me to take. I heard mom's car stop stopping in front of the house. I grabbed the torch and ran out of the room locking it and taking the key back to mom's room.

Why is she back already? She said she was going out with someone. I went to the living room and pretended to be on my phone. I stood up when she came in, I tried to slow down my breathing rate so she would not suspect anything.

"Mom? Why did you come back?" I asked feigning surprise.

She sighed, "It's a mess. I forgot the cards I am supposed to use. I have to get them before going back."

"Oh... That's why you came back?"

"Yes, is there a problem with that?" She asked confused.

I shook my head quickly, "Of course not mom. I'm just saying..."

"I'll go to my room to get the cards now. You are acting weird." She said and left fo
