20 - Get Out Of My Training Ground

His chest shined under the sun. A black track pant hung on his hips, complimenting his lean muscles. He had a serious, stern face but his eyes seemed to be looking right through my soul.

I tried to calm myself down as we got closer to him. Wilder and the other man walked away without a word. Once I got close, I remarked,

“Ed-”, I immediately corrected myself, “Alpha Edgar. I’m sorry to interrupt you. I just- I just came here to thank you.”

Behind me, I could hear loud growls of wolves as they started to spar. Deafening thumps of paws had started echoing underneath the ground under our feet.

Edge raised a brow in disbelief as if the mere mention of the word ‘thanks’ from my mouth was a miracle. For a long moment, he did not say anything in response. His silence made me extremely nervous.

'Is he angry? Does he not want me to show up here?'

The possibility of the last thought made me feel a bit embarrassed. Regardless, I put on a smile and said, “I will leave just in a couple of minut
