Massimo’s words pierced my heart, but I knew that he wasn’t wrong. I was indeed whoring around that last night, but... only that night did this happen.

I had told Ivano to be careful, but he failed to do so. But I couldn’t give that excuse to Alpha, or he would scold me more or, at worst, kick me out of my position. I had worked hard for it, and there was no way I was going to lose it.

"I’m taking control of the security system now," I told Ivano.

"But I handle that."

"Not anymore. It was my department from the very beginning, and your department was to handle the warriors of the pack," I reminded him. "I’m not going to lose my position because of any other mistake. Alpha has said that he will call someone from another pack to handle this investigation, and we can kiss goodbye to our position.

"Calm down, will you?" He asked, placing his hand on my shoulder, "Calm down. Moreover, why didn’t you tell me that you’re keeping one of Alpha’s loyal warriors between the omegas?
