Alpha Baron's POV

Instead of giving me a response to my request, Naomi began to laugh. I don't know why she was laughing but I felt it was like a mockery to me. Though hurted, I didn't act as if I was.

When she told me the reason for her laughter, the feeling of failure and anger set in. I knew for certain that it was going to be hard trying to convince her to stay with me but I wouldn't be discouraged, regardless of her initial attitude.

Now left alone under the tree, I began to pace around, trying to come up with a concrete plan but my head was fuzzy. I was almost giving up on the whole thing when I sighted Alpha Jethro's car rolling into the premises.

At once, I walked up to him and after exchanging pleasantries told him my mission — I told him I wanted his help in combing the rogues.

Fortunately, he bought it and even asked me to stay a little while, giving me a bonus point.
