Chapter 74: Mental Torture

I was still holding Emily's hand, and more than anything at this moment, I didn't want to let it go. I kept rubbing her hair gently, staring at her, and telling myself that she would definitely wake up soon.

I picked my phone from the table and dialed Mia's number because I had been expecting her to get over here with Lilith. I was worried about her because, for three days, I had not seen her, and based on what Mia had told me, Lilith badly wanted to see Emily as well. Maybe that might be what Emily needs right now, to hear Lilith's voice.

Mia picked when the phone rang again, "Hey, where are you?"

"We're almost at the hospital, brother."

"And where's Shane?"

I knew my stubborn sister and that was the main reason I asked of Shane. I still can't seem to figure out why Mia dislikes Shane so much when it was so obvious in the past that she liked him but was too scared to go after him. "I left him back at the mansion."
