Viviane POV

“You have dishonored your family, now your sister will be my sole heiress.” The accusatory finger of my grandfather makes me cringe.

“No!” I hear myself scream. Everything went black after that.

Philip’s words were a slap in the face, but my grandfather disowning me from the Sinclair family ripped my heart and dug my grave. Though he took care of us after our parents died, I knew my grandfather wasn’t always fond of me. He treated me and my mother distantly,I wonder what we ever did to him. I remember hearing him say during her funeral that it was a relief she was gone, as if she was a burden lifted off his shoulders. I still hold on to that memory and today it carved a deeper wound.
