I remember the chaos erupting around us when Atticus came through the blasted doors. Pews went flying in the air, loose leaves mingled with the white doves that we were going to set free as a symbol of our union once we were done with the ceremony. I was dumbfounded to say the least, my heart did a somersault in my chest, “He came for us,” Harmony said excitedly in my head. “Yes, our mate kept his promise.” I certainly did not expect to see him of all people and what hurt me the most was that he saw me getting married to another man, or worse, none other than his enemy.
