Miracle
I woke up feeling pleasurable sparks around me. I blinked my eyes, trying to clear my vision, and saw my mate looking at me. His eyes still held no emotions and were as cold as ice. His arm was wrapped around my waist as he supported my body to not let me fall.
I look around to find myself in the backyard. It seems like I haven’t been unconscious for long because everything looked the same. My eyes found Malia’s body as it laid on the stage. No one bothered to check if they could save her.
I couldn’t help the sadness I felt in my heart. I wanted her to get punished so she could realize her mistake, but I never wanted her to die. I tried to move forward, but the hold on my waist tightened.
“Are you okay?” My mate’s voice got my attention. I turned to look at him and nodded my head.
“Ma— Malia,” I stuttered. My throat felt dry, but I was able to turn my head and look at my sister, hoping t
Christopher Alpha Stone was a grade A-asshole. He knew the consequences of trying to mess with me, but he still tried everything he could to be able to punish Miracle. My warning was enough for him to shut up. He knew if I said something, I would do it no matter what. It would have been to watch him get insulted in front of the elders while he freaked out about my attack. Miracle, however, seemed shocked at my words. Did she think I would have left her alone here to die? Even if she wasn’t my mate, I would have never let her die for something she didn’t do. The dumb Alpha then announced that Malia would be punished as per law. He took his anger on the girl by killing her instantly. It was the cheapest thing he could have done to soothe his ego. The moment he snapped Malia’s neck, Miracle screamed in horror. What surprised me more was the way Malia’s body glowed, and soon it felt like there was some sort of exchange happening. The light from her body t
Miracle As soon as we walked out of the packhouse, my mate let go of my hand. I instantly missed the warmth his big hand provided me. He opened the door for me to get in the back. Once I was in, he walked around getting in from the other side while his Beta, who I now know is named Toby, sat in the driver's seat. It was weird sitting beside such a godly handsome man, and what made it even worse for me was his scent. His scent filled the car, letting me consume a bit of it every time I was breathing. I tried not to make a move in fear of getting his attention, but it was getting harder and harder with every passing second. Something inside me kept bugging me to toss my face in his direction and take a good look at him, but that would make me look desperate, so I kept my spine erected. Toby did not wait for another second, and put the car in drive the moment we were settled in. We fell into an awkward silence, and I didn’t know how to start a conversati
MiracleI felt someone shaking me awake, and I groaned in response. It felt like I was able to get a peaceful sleep after a long time, but someone was ruining my peace. Annoyed, I opened my eyes, blinking them to clear my vision, and came face to face with my mate. The irritation of being woken up from a peaceful slumber washed away after having a glimpse of his handsome face. Although he still didn't have any emotions on his face, I didn't mind staring at his godly features. The moment he knit his brows, my eyes widened, making me feel like I was being too creepy to peer at him without blinking my eyes. I tried to sit up straight but groaned, feeling my stiff neck. I must have been sleeping in that position for way too long.Sparks erupted around my neck, making me shiver in response. I found him pressing his fingers on my neck as he massaged it lightly. The little gesture was enough to warm my heart. So that was what had made the dead butterflies come t
MiracleBreena had dragged me into her room as soon as she possibly could. I didn't complain because being around my mate had kind of restricted my muscles as I was constantly trying to not mess up in front of him. She was really cheery and excited about this whole situation. I looked around to see her room, and to be honest I love it. It was made for a beautiful little princess like her.“You have a beautiful room, Breena.” I complimented with a polite smile on my face. I was watching her room and noticed how comfortable it must be to sleep here at night.“Thank you, mom had this room made for me especially. She would always make sure that I have everything I could ever need.” She replied, a sad smile on her face appeared as her eyes filled with unshed tears, and her voice thickened with emotions. My heart twisted painfully in my chest.“I am sorry for your loss, Breena. I know what it’s like to not have your parents w
Miracle I don’t know how long it has been, but I feel empty inside. Mia has been whimpering in my head. I know she feels the same pain I do, but she says Trent says he wants us. However, I have decided that I wouldn’t hope for anything now. Hope doesn’t do any good, it only breaks you further. I am surprised I am still breathing after I heard his words yesterday. The moment he walked away, I wailed like a little child trying to cry my eyes out and forget about any pain I have, but sadly the pain only increased with each passing second. I don’t have any more tears left. I cannot feel anything, and I have decided I was not going to be on his way. He wanted to secure his pack, and he did. Although, he broke my heart in the process, and probably to the extent that it may never be fixed again. I wanted to blame him for the pain and misery he brought me, but I couldn’t. My own family didn’t want me because I was weak, then why would someone as powerful as h
Breena I am feeling really happy and excited because finally the Moon Goddess has granted my wish. She blessed my asshole of a brother with a second chance mate. I just pray to the Goddess that he doesn’t stuff this one. My brother has been through a lot, and I know he feels responsible for the death of our family and his first mate. I thought with time he would learn to let go and accept the truth, but apparently, he was stuck in his past way too much. I love my brother, and I know that in his heart he cares about everyone. More than he could ever accept, but that doesn’t change the fact that he could be the biggest jerk when he wants to be. He is a grade A asshole. After my argument with him, I was pretty upset and stayed away from the pack until he leaves for the mating ball at Silver Crescent. I would not let him off the hook so easily, but then I found out he found his Luna, and was arriving at the pack, making me forget everything. I kne
Christopher I have been restless the whole night. Trent demanded we go and check on Miracle, but I refused. He has been a pain to deal with ever since my last interaction with her. Making sure that I did not have a second of peace by continuously growling, howling, and whimpering in my head. I couldn’t help but recall the few interactions we had in the last few hours. When she agreed to come home with me, her words warmed my heart, and I hated the effect the mate bond had on me. From the conversation during our ride home, I determined she was very kind and forgiving. I was sure she would be the Luna my pack deserves. The only problem was, I didn’t want her as my mate, but sadly, I couldn’t reject her either. I don’t think Trent and I will be able to go through the pain of losing our mate again. It didn’t matter if it was through rejection or through death. I know it was wrong of me to only bring her home because I couldn’t reject or leave her to death
Christopher Toby was waiting for me when I reached the front door. He had already gathered our best warriors and trackers. I was glad to have him work rationally at the moment because my mind was a mess, and I don’t think I could do anything on my own at the moment. Trent was ready to go on a killing spree if we didn't find Miracle and it did nothing to ease my worry. “Alpha, we are waiting for your orders,” Toby said as he bowed his head respectfully. “She is gone. We have to find her.” I mumbled. I don’t know if I was making any sense. My brain was frozen, and it refused to think about anything other than finding her. “What? Who do we have t—” Toby stopped mid-sentence the moment he realized my words. He gasped in shock and surprise, but he was quick to mask it with a blank expression on his face. “Our Luna is missing. We have to find her.” He ordered, and I was grateful that he took over from here. “Beta Toby. We do not know Luna's
