Shrouded in Grief

Leia – POV

"Xavier, that woman has Ana's watch on her wrist," I slurred, my eyes meeting Xavier's. I distanced myself from his hold, and he let go of me. The warmth in my body continued to course through me. Xavier walked over to the cabinets in his office and retrieved two blue vials. He handed them to me, instructing me to drink them before I could ask what they were.

"What are these vials?" I questioned him, but Xavier gulped down the potion in his vial and slightly huffed. Unlike mine, his heated eyes returned to normal and remained fixated on him.

"Drink up. It's an antidote potion for any poison or love potion," Xavier explained. I looked at the vial in my hand and drank the bitter taste, hoping it would return my body to its normal state. Xavier patiently waited, ready to delve into the meaning behind my earlier statement.

"The maid could be a spy or even Ana in disguise. She was wearing a watch, and I recall her bragging about how you gifted it to her on your first anniversary
