EPISODE FIFTY-SEVEN- THE SCRIPT

Henri’s POV

***Flashback***

A young woman knelt at the front of the procession, crying and wailing. Her screams touched the hearts of many, tugging at the heartstrings.

Onlookers shook their heads in sorrow. Some cried along with her, while some were just numb from the shock.

I was amongst the latter. I wasn’t able to move. I couldn’t cry, I couldn’t speak. I couldn’t bring myself to conjure those painful emotions. All I felt was emptiness. There was nothing left in my chest. Only a painful, hollow cavity.

I slowly turned to look at Julian who stood beside me. His expression was stoic, but I could see the tear streaks that ran down his face. I could see the anger and hurt in his eyes. His whole body was vibrating with raw emotion.

Something I was unable to conjure, no matter how hard it tore me on the inside.

I felt like I was drowning underwater, or like someone was tearing my insides open, but I was paralyzed. I could feel all the emotions so vividly, yet it was like I was having
