Karyna’s POV

It was such a content night for me. I loved this. I felt like I’ve been missing this for my whole life. For once, I was…at peace. I was loved. I could sense waves of his affection wafting over me like a blanket, securing me in place.

I sighed, snuggling into Julian further, as the water sloshed around us.

But when I did that, I could feel his body tense up beneath me. It was a subtle movement, but I felt it and it made me worried.

What was wrong? Did I do something to upset him?

I noticed that he had been silent for a while as well. I didn’t put too much thought into it at first, since I’ve been so lost in my bliss, but he felt off somehow.
